i still have some kl-related posts to do, but i just wanted to thank miss judith for sending me a bottle of the limited-edition marmite with champagne. anthony says it's got a touch of that you've-got-chocolate-in-my-vodka gainsbourg/birkin pairing about it; i'm more than inclined to agree.
i have yet to taste it. my brain says this should be the best thing ever, but i wonder if the combination might be such a freakishly amazing idea that the actuality might'n't live up to my expectations.
kind of like baby charlotte here. love mom and dad, but the resulting offspring? an interesting combination to be sure, but it has taken some time to truly appreciate her. which i wholeheartedly do.
marmite with champagne, i am prepared!

I haven't tried Marmite, but if it's similar to Vegamite, make sure you have some green mango around for dipping! YUM!!

Holy....WOW! How have I not heard of this? My children worship Marmite, they would LOVE this idea... I think?
Just discovered your blog (by way of Mango-KoolAid Pickles - don't ask...) and it's WONDERFUL!! I will definitely be back.

So funny you should mention Marmite on you blog as one of the Aloha Knitters brought some to a meeting and sang it's praises. It looks like
nori tsukudani. She didn't offer samples, but I take it it's not like Nutella;)

hi fran! how are you? what a great idea. it's not mango season yet, but there are some mangos falling down from the tree in front of the indian temple on camp watkins road. if i pass by with a pickup truck enough times, maybe i can snag a few :)
hi tofu mom! thanks for stopping by! i have a few vegan recipes floating about here, and hope to have more, so stop by again sometime.
hello miss acornbud, how are you? (laughing) no, this definitely does not taste like nutella. i haven't tasted nori tsukudani, so i'm not sure how similar the tastes are, but yes, it definitely looks similar. i think marmite is as reviled as natto is to those unfamiliar with it (i like both).

Hi There
I just stumbled upon your blog and think it is an excellent read for foodies and especially like the photos and design of the blog.I started off as a blogger myself and realise the importance of a good clean design like you have here. I have now bookmarked it for myself to read and have added you to our new list of "all the food blogs in the world" on www.ifoods.tv which we have been compiling for the last month! Hopefully it will send you some traffic in the long run. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on food so keep up the good work and talk soon. Cheers
