thinly sliced ribeye (if you are lucky to have an asian butcher, look for beef cut for bulgogi or sukiyaki), marinated briefly in white miso paste, dijon mustard, mirin, sesame oil and soy sauce, wrapped around sautéed spinach with garlic, then grilled. mmm. beefy goodness, without the beefy bloat. the meat is cut so thinly (1/8th of an inch), and the marinade rather strong, that a couple minutes of marination should be enough to flavour the meat well enough that extra sauce isn't needed.

hi mia!
you're so right, it's perfect for a lighter meal. a pound of meat can easily feed 3-4 people. i make 4 rolls from about 1/4 lb of meat but i used a giant bunch of fresh spinach. if you added rice or a pilaf you'd have a feast for the same amount of meat in a fast food burger.

hi cathy
these are probably more veggie heavy than most beef rolls, but i like 'em that way. i'll bet you could fill 'em with pretty much anything.

(still laughing) why yes, i did have them in but they keep ****ing up, so don't be surprised if i bring in laurence llewelyn lollipop to come fozzizzle the shizznit a bit. i got the playlist, and i'm surprised i have a lot of it (including roger eno--why would i have roger eno?!), but i'm searching for some of the others. i'll let you know what's only in your hands.

Hi Santos,
ROGER Eno? Couldn't say that I do. I have a few BRIAN Eno CDS though. My favorite is probably "Another Green World" or that one with David Byrne, "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts".

Reid - you gotta get Doscreet Music and Apollo by B Eno. Then you MUST find and buy Flatlands and The Nightgarden. Classics. One of those was written and recorded in his garden shed at night. Gues which one?
PS. Taking Tiger Mountain by Big Eno is also worth a sniff. As is Drawn from Life feat. Laurie Anderson... i could go on...
