coffee battle begins!
royal kona coffee company is making iron chef sakai coffees as a part of their hawaii chef series (maybe they know something i don't...?) there is a 10% kona blend which apparently the "delacroix of french cuisine" uses in his restaurants in japan as the house blend, and a 100% kona viennese roast that is used at his la rochelle restaurant specifically for patrons requesting french press service. i have both, which i purchased through lion coffee, but i have to get through a sort of manky bag of chocolate macadamia blend (i know what some of you think of flavoured coffees but i don't care--anyway, i think it turned on me) first. i'll do a side-by-side taste test soon.
